Fundraising and Volunteering

- The club often takes part in various fundraising and volunteering opportunities as a way to give back to the community we are in.

- Our main fundraising involves bake sales, collections at our annual Showcase and organised Charity events. Last year our Social Secretaries alongside our Fundraising officer organised a charity bingo night, titled Pomgos, leading us to raise over £1000 for our 23/24 charity Together Women.

- Our 2024/25 Fundraising and Volunteering Officers are Lucy and Em and they have chosen Sheffield Women's Aid as our club charity this year! 

​

- We often partake in charity initiatives organised by Sport Sheffield such as 24-hour events, charity matches and performances. Last year, Pom collaborated with Men's Rugby for a joint performance at a Movember event - leading Pom to raise £650. We also have performed at Sheffield Fight Night Rounds 1,2 and 3 - this is student boxing matches raising money for OddBalls.

- As a club, we also collect donations for food banks and period poverty throughout the year. Also organising visits to primary schools around Sheffield to teach them cheer skills - a super rewarding experience!
